Graphic Designer Intern/Volunteer
Job Summary
Graphic Designer Intern/Volunteer for Luxe Media, a portion of Felix Magazine under The Aparecio Foundation. Unpaid internship focusing on building the Luxe Media brand with compelling marketing through design. Primary duties include color correction, photo cropping, typography and image manipulation; work with HTML/CSS for web pages, e-newsletters, and social sites. Develop innovative design solutions for marketing materials across in-book promotions, online and print, PR, online advertising and social media; initiate concepts and work independently or with staff and copywriters; perform general admin duties; support fashion magazine advertising and fashion-related design projects; maintain high standards of design while operating as a team player in a confidential, inclusive environment. Must be a full or part-time student, working toward a degree, eligible to receive school credit, and commit to 2-3 days a week for 3 months. Demonstrates passion for women’s economic opportunities and possesses strong design style with experience in fashion advertising; comfortable with ambiguity and able to work autonomously.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a full or part-time student and working toward a degree

- Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Experience with photo art direction, desktop production and fashion magazine advertising
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to present information to top management and groups
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work autonomously
- Demonstrated design style with fashion advertising experience
- Strong computer skills including Windows, Excel, PowerPoint
