Job Summary
The Graphic Designer, Development supports PSO fundraising and institutional initiatives by creating donor-facing visual materials and contributing copywriting. Responsibilities include designing print and digital materials (proposals, case statements, annual fund appeals, capital campaign materials, invitations, campaigns, presentations), translating fundraising priorities into compelling content, managing projects from concept to production, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines, collaborating across Development, Marketing, and Communications, proofreading content, preparing files for print and digital production, and maintaining high-quality, deadline-driven output. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and at least 2 years of design experience, with a strong portfolio and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite on Mac, plus MS Office; experience with fundraising/donor communications and familiarity with arts/nonprofit contexts is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of professional design experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in both print and digital design; portfolio submission required
- Experience working within established brand guidelines
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) on Mac
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
- Basic copywriting and editing skills with strong grammar and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects with efficiency and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively across teams
- Comfort with receiving constructive feedback and refining work to align with project objectives
- Understanding of production processes for both print and digital media
