Job Summary

Develop concepts, designs, and art for print and digital projects for DART's external customers and internal departments. Collaborate with Marketing, Communications, and Creative Services staff through brainstorming, concept development, and review processes to ensure seamless typography and composition. Prepare concepts for leadership presentation, respond to design feedback, and proactively anticipate team needs. Maintain brand consistency, manage multiple projects efficiently, and adhere to DART storage and archival guidelines. Provide creative feedback to team members and contractors while ensuring high-quality output. Maintain knowledge of design trends and new technological developments to recommend efficiency improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Communication Arts with emphasis on Graphic Design or related field
  • Three (3) years experience as a Graphic Designer in an advertising agency, graphic design studio, or corporate design environment
  • Proficiency of MAC software applications to include Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), Adobe Creative Suite CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) or other related software
  • Pass a physical (medical) examination that includes a drug screen in order to operate DART non-revenue vehicles
  • Knowledge of fonts and typography, color calibration
  • Knowledge of the CMYK printing process and preparing digital files for print and promotional merchandise vendors, as well as digital and mobile devices
  • Ability to be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
  • Ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles
  • Ability to quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all
  • Ability to use rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
  • Can see hidden problems
  • Is excellent at honest analysis
  • Looks beyond the obvious and does not stop at the first answers
