Job Summary
Graphic Designer at 16 On Center HQ will design and execute a wide range of creative projects including advertisements, menus, signage, branding materials, and large-scale initiatives. Collaborate with leadership across restaurants, bars, venues, and hospitality concepts; create visual assets for marketing and social media; maintain brand guidelines while bringing new ideas; assist production with vendors and vinyl graphics; provide on-site creative support for site-specific projects; manage multiple design projects with efficiency and clear communication; work with IT, Creative, and Marketing teams to ensure brand consistency across websites, digital signage, and other digital platforms; contribute to branding initiatives for new concepts and events; deliver high-volume, high-quality design work and maintain project timelines through approved tools. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 2+ years of design experience, proficiency in Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop (After Effects and digital animation a plus), a strong portfolio, and excellent collaboration and production knowledge. The role is full-time with a hybrid in-office schedule in Chicago, and offers a compensation range of $60k-$68k plus comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a designer role, preferably with a background in marketing, hospitality, or music
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Experience with After Effects, digital animation software, and/or Basecamp is a plus
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, organization, and the ability to articulate design decisions
- Adept at drawing, sketching, and knowledgeable in essential design standards and practices, including layout, color theory, grid systems, and typography
- Ability to work effectively within brand guidelines while also pushing creative boundaries
- Experience working in both digital and print mediums, with the ability to recommend appropriate formats, specifications, and production methods for a given project
- Experience in or knowledge of the music venue, hospitality, and live events industries is a plus
- Passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for customers and team members alike
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, external partners, and vendors
- Ability to remain stationary and work at a computer for extended periods of time
- Ability to occasionally move throughout various company locations, venues, and event spaces as needed
- Ability to occasionally lift and move marketing materials, signage, displays, and other project-related materials
