Job Summary
Graphic Design adjunct instructor responsible for meeting scheduled classes (MGD 1011: Adobe Photoshop I) and delivering instruction in line with the course syllabus and college philosophy. Develops and administers curriculum, creates lesson plans and instructional materials, designs activities linking coursework to real-world applications, and assesses student learning to adapt teaching methods. Maintains accurate student records in Infinite Campus, enforces college policies and student conduct, and collaborates with colleagues and participates in professional development as requested by the Academic Dean. Requires adherence to IRCA work authorization timelines and successful background checks; partial schedule indicates on-campus instruction in Colorado Springs with a part-time appointment.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in a field directly related to the area of instruction, or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the subject area of instruction
- Prior to start, approval will be required by the community college partner
- Prior teaching experience preferred
- IRCA compliance required; must verify legal right to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment
