Job Summary
Grant Specialist supports full-cycle grants management and donor engagement for a research-based nonprofit serving learners and communities; responsibilities include researching grant opportunities, drafting proposals, coordinating timelines and reports, managing data for fundraising campaigns, supporting donor stewardship, and collaborating with communications, finance, and leadership; requires university degree or equivalent, 2+ years fundraising/grant-writing experience, strong written/verbal communication, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and proficiency with donor databases and office software; 40-hour work week with potential hybrid/remote arrangements in Vancouver, BC.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant field (e.g., public relations, communications, business, marketing) or equivalent experience
- 2+ years related fundraising experience
- Proven experience and success with grant writing and reporting
- Experience managing fundraising campaigns, supporter communications, and events
- Eligibility to work in Canada
- Criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening
- CRFE certification (or on certification track), AFP membership is considered an asset but not required
