Job Summary

Grants Finance Manager oversees financial oversight, compliance, and reporting for federal, state, and private grants. Key duties include developing and monitoring grant budgets, tracking expenditures, forecasting spending, preparing SF-425/FFRs, managing grant draws, maintaining grant-level general ledger support, ensuring compliance with 2 CFR Part 200 and grant requirements, supporting audit processes, and providing financial analysis to guide funding strategy. Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (or related field), 5+ years in nonprofit/healthcare grant accounting, expertise in HRSA and 2 CFR Part 200, proficiency with ERP systems (Sage Intacct/Blackbaud), and strong communication/project management skills. Hybrid onsite/remote work arrangement in Chicago, IL, with standard grant-management responsibilities and collaboration with program leadership to align financial activities with program operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years nonprofit or healthcare grant accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200 and HRSA requirements
  • Knowledge of UDS and SEFA reporting
  • Experience managing a grants finance team
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, Blackbaud or similar)
  • Excellent written, communication, and project management skills
