Job Summary
Develop and execute a comprehensive grant and development strategy aligned with OBI's strategic priorities for research, education, and community impact. Lead the full grant lifecycle from prospect research and proposal writing through submission, compliance, and stewardship, while cultivating partnerships with foundations, corporations, and government agencies. Manage grant budgets, track outcomes, and prepare impact reports for funding partners and the Board of Directors. Utilize the Bloomerang CRM to maintain accurate records, monitor development metrics, and recommend strategies to improve funding success. Collaborate with executive leadership to diversify revenue streams through planned giving and major gift solicitation. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with competitive pay including shift differential and performance bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- BA or BS degree required
- Outstanding verbal and writing skills
- Attention to detail and extremely organized
- Experience with managing multiple priorities and programs
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, public administration, or a related field
- Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in grant writing, institutional giving, nonprofit development, or philanthropy
- Demonstrated success securing foundation, corporate, and government grants
- Experience with planned giving and major gift development preferred
- Exceptional writing, communication, project management, and relationship-building skills
- Experience with CRM systems and grant management software
- Healthcare, biomedical, or nonprofit experience preferred
