Job Summary
Oversee preparation and submission of new, competing, and non-competing sponsored research proposals while managing the complete lifecycle of federal and foundation awards. Serve as the primary liaison to Mass General Brigham central office and sponsoring agencies regarding fiscal and administrative concerns, ensuring accurate submission of JIT, progress reports, re-budgeting, and close-out documents. Maintain records of submission materials, compile IRB and IACUC certifications, and ensure compliance with all hospital and government regulations for human and animal subjects research. Create and close internal accounts for awarded grants, monitor budget compliance, and track the Computer Core's general ledger. Review semi-annual effort reports for accuracy and route them for certification before submission to the Partners central office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- Masters in relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years of grant management experience
- Extensive knowledge of program administration guidelines of Federal and non-Federal funding agencies supporting biomedical research
- Familiarity/experience with all types of award mechanisms, including grants, contracts, subcontracts, cooperative agreements
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to resource efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal/communications (verbal and written) skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Internet applications
- Demonstrated ability to be organized and flexible in an environment which requires continuous monitoring of priorities
- Highly goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in coordination with various teams
- Willingness to take on new challenges and openness to change
