Job Summary
Oversee the Grants Accounting Team to develop, implement, and monitor grant processes and procedures in all relevant PSLS business software. Train and oversee staff on established processes, ensure standardized grant reports, review grant applications and budgets, coordinate with the Finance Director and Controller on accounting systems, assist with interviewing/hiring, provide daily supervision, maintain a reduced Grants Accounting Portfolio, and drive improvements to grant accounting processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 3-5 years of experience in Grant Accounting
- People leadership/supervision experience strongly preferred
- Ability to autonomously perform job responsibilities and demonstrate expertise in a area
- Strong computer competency including Excel and Access
- Familiarity with database software and track record of modifying software to produce results
- Excellent analytical skills and understanding of accounting principles
- Effective oral/written communication
- Some travel is necessary; valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation
