Job Summary
Grant Writer at Catholic Charities of Baltimore with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote). Responsible for researching government grant opportunities, developing competitive proposals, coordinating cross-functional proposal activities, and managing the submission process for assigned grants. Produces accurate, compliant, and persuasive applications; maintains grant records; and provides informed recommendations to advance program priorities and funding goals. Responsibilities include leading grant opportunities from planning through submission, writing and refining narratives and supporting materials, ensuring timely submissions, maintaining grant records, serving as the internal expert for grant tracking software, researching funding opportunities, contributing to process improvements, communicating with leadership on progress and outcomes, and representing the organization in communications with government agencies and external partners. Requires a Bachelor's degree and two years of grant writing/project management experience; proficiency with grant management tools and MS Office; strong writing and project management skills; and willingness to work in a hybrid environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Business, or related field
- Two years of grant writing and/or project management experience
- Experience with government proposal writing and management preferred
- Familiarity with Baltimore and Maryland funding landscape considered a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and grant-related tools
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to synthesize information and produce persuasive proposals
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
