Job Summary
Grant Writer in ASM’s Development team drives fundraising success through researching new funding sources, drafting grant proposals and reports, and managing funder communications. Responsibilities include writing tailored letters of intent and proposals, researching foundations and government opportunities, coordinating with programs/finance/research to gather data and budgets, maintaining donor records and deadlines in Raiser's Edge, and supporting events like corporate workshops, Sneaker Ball, and the Gala. Requires excellent writing, strong organization, attention to detail, ability to synthesize financial/program data, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; a Bachelor’s degree and experience with grants/development preferred. Hybrid schedule with minimum three days in person in Chicago, IL; travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree required
- Strong Microsoft Office skills required
- CRM experience preferred (ASM uses Raiser’s Edge)
- 1+ experience working with grants/Development team is preferred
