Job Summary
Grant Specialist role in the Washington DC area requiring on-site presence 3 days per week with hybrid work. Responsibilities include financial administration (expenditure review, reimbursement processing), closeout actions for Federal awards, coordination with Agreement Officers (AOs) and grant recipients, composing closeout letters, reviewing and processing actions for proper closeout, reviewing financial reports, ensuring grants file completeness, tracking de-obligation of Federal funds, and ensuring compliance with US government regulations. Requires 5+ years of US government grant management experience (including terminating grants and negotiating final budgets) and a Bachelor’s degree in Business. On-site 3 days weekly; hybrid arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in US government grant management with at least 1 year of experience terminating grants and negotiating final award budgets
- Bachelor’s degree in Business
- Capability to quickly assimilate new information and become proficient in topics such as Government to Government, Title II, Interagency Awards, and Public International Organizations
