Job Summary
Grant Coordinator to research, prepare, and submit grant proposals and related materials to foundations, corporations, and other funding sources. Responsibilities include developing compelling narratives, tailoring proposals to funder guidelines, coordinating with program, finance, data impact, and leadership staff, maintaining a grant submission calendar, updating boilerplate materials and templates, and ensuring compliance with funder requirements. This role requires collaboration with internal stakeholders to reflect program impact, collecting stories and data to strengthen proposals, and supporting post-award grant processes. Remote within the Northeast Ohio region; starts at $41,500 annually with benefits, PTO/holidays, flexible working arrangements, and opportunities for growth. The position prefers a Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of grant writing experience, with excellent writing, editing, proofreading, research, and project-management skills, plus the ability to translate organizational impact into funder-facing narratives. Final candidates must clear a background check and drug test.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in English, communications, nonprofit management, public administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of grant writing or professional writing experience
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and research skills required
- Keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to translate program information, organizational strategy, and impact data into clear, compelling funder-facing narratives
- Experience preparing persuasive proposals and funding requests
- Familiarity with nonprofit funding environments and grant management practices
- Final candidates must clear a background check and drug test
