Grant and Revenue Accountant

Job Summary

Manage general ledger integrity by ensuring accurate transaction entry into Sage Intacct and performing monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations for grant and revenue accounts. Execute month-end and year-end close processes while utilizing Salesforce data to reconcile restricted funds and program-related financial activity. Prepare grant financial reports, manage revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP, and support audit preparation by maintaining grant-specific schedules and documentation. Monitor restricted funds for compliance with donor and regulatory requirements, analyze financial variances, and collaborate with program teams on budget development.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent combination of education and relevant accounting experience
  • 4+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Grant fund accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles, including restricted fund accounting and revenue recognition
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Sage Intacct
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience working in a nonprofit and/or multi-entity environment
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and private grant compliance requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong internal control awareness
  • Public accounting experience
