Job Summary
Develop grant applications for capital, operating, planning, training, and other programs to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). Maintain accurate records of all grant-related correspondence and documentation while tracking submission deadlines and ensuring proposals meet formatting and regulatory standards. Monitor progress of awarded grants, ensure compliance with funding requirements, and detail fund utilization to satisfy reporting obligations. Assist with audit-related projects by providing financial documentation and explanations to auditors, then prepare amendment requests, extensions, and periodic progress reports for electronic submission. Review project development requirements including the Transportation Improvement Plan and Statewide Transportation Improvement Program.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, public administration, or a directly related field
- 2 to 3 years' recent professional experience in research, finance, accounting, public administration, or a related field
- Experience must include grant administration, grant management, grant coordination, grant writing, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, or obtaining funding for grant-supported projects and programs
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Must be able to remain stationary 80% of the time
- Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, office machinery, copy machine, etc.
