Job Summary
Art Teacher in Grand Prairie, TX responsible for developing and delivering instruction aligned with district policy to maximize student growth. Responsibilities include differentiating instruction, designing and submitting standards-based lesson plans, implementing district curriculum, maintaining an engaging classroom environment, establishing classroom rules, planning assessments and learning centers, providing whole/small group and one-to-one instruction, tutoring as needed, managing behavior per the Student Code of Conduct, collaborating with ESL/SpEd/TAG/RTI teams, ensuring consistency with staff and campus procedures, maintaining data-based documentation of student progress, communicating with stakeholders, participating in staff development, and creating authentic assessments to demonstrate mastery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from four year college or university.
- Must meet Highly Qualified status.
- Valid Texas teacher certification in respective content and grade level.
- ESL Certification is required.
