Job Summary
Prepare engaging lessons and learning activities for K-7th grade students, cultivating a rich classroom atmosphere and attending morning prayer with the class each day. Build relationships with students and parents while fostering moral imagination through the liberal arts of math and language. Commit to professional growth within grade-level or curricular area teams that meet across campuses to work on projects supporting the academic mission. Affirm the Statement of Faith and actively participate in the church and Christian community. This role is part of an initiative transforming access to classical Christian education in the greater Orlando area, offering support from academic coaches and limited administrative tasks to focus on teaching.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a BA or higher degree
- Bring 3-5 years of experience, ideally within a classical Christian school
- Demonstrate a genuine love for God, children, and for learning
- Have explored our website and resonate deeply with our christian faith, mission and vision
- Have prayerfully considered this opportunity and are ready to learn more about how we are removing financial barriers to excellent Christian education
- Tasks involve the ability to exert very moderate physical effort in light work, typically involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (l2-20 pounds)
- Most tasks require visual perception and discrimination
- Some tasks require oral communications ability
- Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds
Desired Qualifications
- Attend morning prayer each morning with their students and are eager to start the day with their students in prayer
- Care deeply about their students' spiritual formation and are missional about shaping and forming hearts and minds
- Affirm our Statement of Faith and are actively involved in their church and Christian community
