Job Summary
Grains & Oilseeds Analyst responsible for building and maintaining CiS supply and demand views and balance sheets for grains and oilseeds, forecasting Russian production, organizing crop tours, coordinating with analysts and traders, and communicating actionable market intelligence to Geneva traders and the global group. Requires deep knowledge of Russian commodity production, 5+ years in commodity research, fluency in Russian, strong Excel/BI skills (Power BI, Python/R a plus), and ability to synthesize data into clear conclusions while managing timelines and travel for crop tours.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years in commodity research (ideally grains/oilseeds)
- Proven Russian market coverage with ability to speak Russian fluently
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative analysis skills; ability to interpret mixed information and maintain a clean assumption trail
- Advanced Excel and statistics skills; Power BI knowledge; Python/R are a plus
- Ability to develop and communicate market intelligence to commercial stakeholders
- Willingness to travel for crop tours and field engagements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to engage with traders and analysts across regions
