Job Summary
Operate assigned single, tandem, or multi-axle trucks for grain delivery and pickup to company or customer locations while adhering to specified time schedules. Conduct daily pre-trip safety inspections, including fuel, oil, tires, lights, and brakes, and maintain a clean professional appearance. Complete accurate documentation such as bills of lading, delivery tickets, invoices, and logbooks daily. Perform preventative maintenance and uphold DOT, OSHA, and GROWMARK compliance standards. Obtain a valid CDL with required endorsements within six months and maintain a clean driving record.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalent thereof
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with required endorsements (e.g., HazMat, Tanker)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work hours other than those considered normal at various times throughout the year
- Ability and willingness to participate in required training, including education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training related to the position's requirements
- Acceptable background check
- Acceptable drug test
- Acceptable motor vehicle report
- Acceptable reference check
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to operate tractor-trailer equipment safely and to meet company and DOT standards
