Job Summary
Weigh incoming trucks and communicate grain and grade to attendants while ensuring proper loading and unloading at the grain elevator. Operate machinery including bobcats, loaders, and tractors to fill, reclaim, transfer, and blend grain piles. Monitor equipment, process samples, and input data into computer systems to support accurate accounting. Maintain the grain room, scale area, and grading equipment in clean, optimum working condition. Provide courteous customer service and contact patrons regarding dumping hours and market opportunities. Adhere to all safety regulations, OSHA standards, and DOT policies.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/GED or 0-1 year related experience; or combination of education and experience
- Valid driver's license
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- English Proficiency
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts
