Job Summary
Coordinate all aspects of daily grain operations in conjunction with Location Manager and Grain Operations & Marketing Manager. Responsibilities include grain quality control (temperature readings, fan maintenance, inbound/outbound grain rotation, moisture and dockage targets), supervising grain department employees, managing budgets and payroll with Location Manager, operating and troubleshooting grain-related software, performing PMI on equipment, collecting grain samples and maintaining on-site inventory, assisting customers with loading/unloading, and conducting grain safety training (annual training, hot work permits, confined spaces) while ensuring compliance with safety practices, OSHA requirements, and company policies. Also may perform CDL delivery and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years related work experience demonstrating ability to provide daily leadership to production personnel
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and satisfactory driving record
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot grain-related software
- Ability to perform PMI on grain equipment and maintain inventory
- Ability to conduct grain safety training (annual training, hot work permits, confined spaces)
- Ability to manage budgeting, payroll, and overtime costs
