Grain Merchandiser

Grain Merchandiser responsible for buying and selling grain to maximize margins while managing risk; partners with Grain Trading Team to develop and execute merchandising strategies, build producer and commercial relationships, and coordinate grain movement through logistics and market positioning. Key duties include monitoring markets, executing trades to maximize margins, negotiating sales contracts and pricing terms, managing hedge positions and risk, maintaining relationships with farmer-owners and customers, coordinating shipments and ensuring quality specifications, tracking inventory and contract fulfillment, and maintaining detailed trade records in compliance with policies. Requires strong grain knowledge, experience with hedging platforms and trading systems, excellent communication, ability to prioritize and multi-task in a high-pressure environment, and a proactive, safety-conscious mindset.
