Grain Facility Operator

Job Summary
Load and unload trucks, weigh and test grain, and optimize bin storage while blending shipments to achieve the best grade and price. Inspect stored grain periodically, sample incoming and outgoing shipments, and report results to bookkeeping. Operate heavy equipment including loaders and forklifts to perform warehouse work, maintain outside grounds, and coordinate property maintenance. Deliver crop protection products to customers and assist sales staff in ensuring orders are correct. Adhere to daily schedules and work additional hours to meet business demands. Requires a Class A CDL, grain fumigation license, and ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working with heavy equipment
- Grain fumigation license
- Commercial driver's license (Class A) or ability to obtain within 30 days
- HAZMAT, Tanker and Air Brake endorsements or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
- Computer and data entry skills
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in grain handling and grain facility operations
- Previous experience as a Grain Facility Operator
- Previous agricultural cooperative or agriculture related experience
