Job Summary
Conduct case management for a designated cohort of students by monitoring attendance, implementing retention protocols through proactive outreach, and identifying root causes of disengagement. Assist with enrollment registration, student orientation, and one-on-one academic support while collaborating with the team to track learning pathways and remove barriers to progress. Contribute to recruitment canvassing, advocate for students by connecting them to academy staff, and provide daily operational support including home visits and travel between academy sites. Manage student records using technology tools and participate actively in academy meetings and community events.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in educational support, case management, or working with at-risk youth
- Strong relationship-building
- Excellent communication
- Adaptability
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency with learning management systems and educational technology tools
- Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands
- Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
- Consistent, reliable attendance during scheduled work hours
- On-site presence (for roles designated as in-person/onsite)
- Management of assigned workload and productivity expectations
- Ability to perform job functions in an open, student-centered workspace
- Occasional travel between nearby academy sites
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred, but equivalent experience in education, youth mentorship, or case management will be considered
- Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred!)
- Experience in non-traditional educational settings
- Comfort with project-based and competency-based learning approaches
