Job Summary
Perform a variety of diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams under physician direction to identify abnormalities for patient diagnosis. Prepare exam rooms, obtain informed consent, review patient histories, and select appropriate protocols. Execute diagnostic techniques to assess on-going conditions, review completed tests for quality and completeness, and coordinate image preparation for physician partners. Document patient information accurately, communicate with patients and the multidisciplinary team, and ensure safe shift handoffs. Monitor equipment reliability, report issues, stock supplies, clean rooms, and transport patients as needed. Participate in quality initiatives focused on patient satisfaction and workflow. Full-time 36-hour schedule at Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- RDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or RCS - Reg Cardiac Sonographer - New graduate hires must obtain registry within 18 months of hire
- Health Care Provider Life Support certification
