Job Summary
Provide technical support and sustainment for deployed defense systems, ensuring reliable performance aligned with AS9100 standards. Support programs during the build phase by handling hardware assembly, software installation, and system configuration. Plan and execute testing on new systems, including integration, factory acceptance, and system acceptance tests. Deliver office-based customer support via phone and email, with occasional out-of-hours assistance. Travel within the UK and overseas to commission, upgrade, and resolve issues on systems built in Malvern. Maintain locally held system replicas for troubleshooting and upgrade validation. Demonstrate software and systems to internal and external customers while contributing to continuous improvement. Requires a relevant IT degree, UK security clearance (SC minimum), and willingness to travel and work out-of-hours.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant IT field
- work experience (such as a placement year) in a technical IT background
- Curiosity with the ability to learn and to bring fresh ideas into business
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, customers, and technical teams
- Willing and able to travel within the UK and overseas
- ability to provide out-of-hours support with prior notice
- ability to obtain and maintain the relevant UK security clearance required for the role, SC at a minimum
