Job Summary
The Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Chemistry Department will teach courses/laboratories, tutor undergraduate students, manage and teach labs, grade reports, and ensure lab safety protocols. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and maintain a GPA of at least 3.5, with coursework in all four chemistry sub-disciplines. Responsibilities include preparation of lab reagents and managing lab cleanliness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from an accredited institution of higher education
- Regular admission to a UA Little Rock graduate degree program or good standing with the UA Little Rock Graduate School for continuing graduate students
- Ability to work the required hours (FT-50% - 20 hours per week/PT-25% - 10 hours per week) with regular attendance
- Chemistry major with GPA at least 3.5 (4.0 scale)
- Coursework of the four sub-disciplines of chemistry (Analytical, Physical, Inorganic, and Organic)
- Proof of English proficiency

- Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
