Job Summary
Graduate Student Academic Advisor and Certification Specialist provides academic advising for graduate programs (Boot Camp, MAASE, MAEL, MAT, MOL, MSIDT) and serves as Certification Specialist for MAASE, MAEL, and Alt Cert learners. Responsibilities include communicating with prospective students, program directors, the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE), and campus offices; developing degree plans; monitoring progress; maintaining tracking systems (CRM, spreadsheets); coordinating course verifications and letters; managing calendars, admissions workflows, and events; assisting with budget and textbook/resource management; coordinating with instructors and serving as primary contact for KDP and memberships; and supporting recruitment efforts and program administration. Requires ability to travel and occasional overnight stays and strong communication across multiple programs and stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- Experience in teaching/teaching certification
- Experience in higher education
- Ability to use technology/computer systems and work in Recruit, Advise, and Colleague CRMs
- Receives supervision and work assignments from a designated supervisor, although other staff members in the unit may provide work direction.
