Job Summary
Graduate Structural Engineer who will contribute to building design and calculations on projects across New Zealand and Australia, supporting real projects from the first week. You will work within Egis’ Façades and Sustainability team in Wellington, collaborating with multidisciplinary specialists, solving real challenges, and focusing on quality to meet industry standards and regulations. Roles include hands-on experience both on-site and in-office, with mentoring and learning about building codes and rating frameworks. Available to start February 2027, with work rights to live and work full-time in New Zealand; prior vacations/internships in a consulting environment are highly desired. Strong communication, collaboration, and a proactive desire to grow professionally are sought in a candidate who enjoys teamwork across disciplines.
Required Qualifications
- Recent graduate with a tertiary degree in Civil Engineering (Structural)
- Available to start February 2027
- Relevant work rights to live and work full-time in New Zealand
- Strong interest in structural engineering
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Self-motivated and eager to learn and grow
- Experience working in a team across disciplines (preferred)
- Previous student vacation/internship experience ideally in a consulting environment (highly desired)
- Experience in retail/hospitality/customer service environments (highly desired)
