Job Summary
Graduate Software Systems Engineer assisting senior engineers to evaluate user and process requirements, develop functional design specifications, code, debug and test software applications that integrate with production databases and equipment; maintain existing software systems, design and implement new solutions, and create technical documentation. Participates in MES production applications covering data flow from shop floor to enterprise application within an Industry 4.0/Smart Factory context; collaborates with Design and Test Lab, external vendors, and end users; performs on-site software debugging and optimization; requires strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills. Must have permanent right to work in the UK and be able to work on-site in Newtownabbey, UK.
Required Qualifications
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelor’s degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Permanent Right to Work in the UK
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
- Must undergo a medical examination which includes a drugs test
