Job Summary
Conduct patient care delivery under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans. Collect vital signs, complete accurate documentation, and participate in patient/family education as determined by ongoing assessments. Observe and discuss prioritization of patient needs and interdisciplinary care modifications with the RN. Recognize legal/ethical implications of care, maintain confidentiality, and comply with regulatory standards. Achieve RN licensure within the Intermountain Nurse Residency program while performing these duties.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of a recognized and accredited Nursing (RN) education program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers
- Achieves Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in a timely manner per Intermountain Health standards and expectations
- Must be able to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
- Must have manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Must be able to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Must be able to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Must be able to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Must be able to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
