Graduate Program Staff Assistant

Job Summary
Process admissions and financial aid applications, including analyzing transcripts, calculating GPAs, and following up for missing documents. Respond to telephone, email, and walk-in inquiries while serving as the first reviewer for general inboxes. Assist with audits, workflow implementation, and process improvements on the online admissions platform. Manage student visa processing, financial aid review, and recordkeeping while maintaining confidential files. Support communications, event publicity, and orientation planning including administrative tasks and website updates. Share front desk responsibility for the Graduate Program and International Legal Studies department. Handle substantial overtime during peak application season and key events like Orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Three or more years related experience in office administration or business environment
- Education beyond high school
- Must be available for substantial overtime during peak application season, including evenings/weekends and winter recess
- Must be available for overtime for other key events, including Orientation
- Must be able to work primarily on campus with opportunity for remote work based on business needs and manager approval
- Must be able to work in a Harvard registered state in compliance with the University's Policy on Employment Outside of Massachusetts
- Must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment
