Job Summary
The Graduate Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing a safe environment, delivering emotional and social support, and addressing residents' physical needs as per their care plan. This role includes performing direct care to residents as assigned by supervisors, adhering to health, sanitary, and infection control policies, and maintaining established standards of practice. Candidates must have graduated from an approved nursing assistant program and be eligible to take the state licensing exam. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an approved school for Nursing Assistants/Certified Nursing Assistants/State Tested Nursing Assistants
- Must take and pass the state licensing exam within the 120-day time period
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old (if 16 years old, must currently be in high school)
- Must be able to communicate in English and have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in long term care preferred but not required
