Graduate Nurse, Oncology FT Nights

Job Summary

Administer bedside patient care in the oncology department under supervision, assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and evaluating progress toward expected outcomes. Coordinate patient care for the assigned group, delegate tasks to team members, and document all activities including medication administration, treatments, and patient safety in compliance with regulatory standards. Prioritize care using Evidence-Based Practice Standards, communicate unit concerns to the interdisciplinary team, and serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, or educator for new staff and students. Maintain a clean, safe work area while attending staff development and participating in performance improvement committees.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Authorized by the Alabama Board of Nursing (ABON) to practice as a graduate nurse
  • Received a temporary license
  • Authorized to take the NCLEX by the examination vendor
  • Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Baptist Health and Orlando Health and the unit/department
  • Must obtain temporary or permanent licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) multistate RN license
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
  • ACLS certification
  • NRP certification
  • PALS certification
  • TNCC certification
