Job Summary
Earn a nursing diploma or degree from an accredited institution and pass the NCLEX exam within 120 days of hire to obtain your Tennessee Nursing License. Complete required certifications including Basic Life Support within 90 days and Advanced Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Trauma Nursing Core Course within one year, depending on your assigned unit. Obtain Critical Care or Progressive Critical Care certification within two years. Complete unit-specific certifications such as ONS Chemo/Immunotherapy for Oncology, Neonatal Resuscitation for Obstetrics, or Fetal Monitoring as applicable to your role.
Required Qualifications

- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification
- Basic Arrhythmia certification

- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Acute Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) certification or Progressive Critical Care Nursing (PCCN) certification
- ONS Chemo/Immunotherapy certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification or Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
- STABLE certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Care of the OB Patient certification
- Fetal Monitoring certification
