Job Summary
Earn a nursing diploma or degree from an accredited institution and pass the NCLEX exam within 120 days of hire to obtain your Tennessee Nursing License. Complete required certifications including Basic Life Support within 90 days, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention within 180 days, and role-specific credentials such as Advanced Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Trauma Nursing Core Course depending on your assigned unit. Obtain ONS Chemo/Immunotherapy certification within one year if working in the Oncology Unit, or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course for the Pediatric Emergency Department.

- Acute Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) certification or Progressive Critical Care Nursing (PCCN) certification
- ONS Chemo/Immunotherapy certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification or Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
- STABLE certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Care of the OB Patient certification
- Fetal Monitoring certification
