Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for acute and chronic respiratory patients on the expanding Pulmonary Unit. Coordinate patient care activities for all assigned staff while maintaining standards of practice within organizational policies. Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory issues through close collaboration with hospitalists, pulmonologists, and respiratory therapists. Full-time days from 7am to 7pm. New graduate nurses eligible for this role with a recognized accredited nursing degree; Bachelor's degree preferred. Current Georgia RN licensure and BCLS required. Sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PALS Certification
- PEARS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU/ARU - ACLS
- PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP
- Nursery- NRP
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor‘s Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
