Job Summary
Performs nursing activities under the supervision of a registered nurse while prepping for the NCLEX-RN exam. Responsibilities include delivering patient care using a family-centered approach, assisting in medication administration, conducting assessments, and collaborating in discharge planning. Must demonstrate strong clinical assessment skills, manage multiple patients effectively, and possess foundational nursing knowledge. A graduate of an accredited nursing program is required, alongside strong commitment to quality patient care and adherence to hospital policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Nursing program
- Less than 1 year of nursing experience in acute care obtained through student clinicals
- Registered to take NCLEX-RN exam within one year of employment
- Receives documentation from exam provider to prove exam eligibility
- Possesses strong clinical assessment skills with an ability to manage multiple patients
- Ability to perform assessments and nursing functions as acquired in the basic nursing preparation program
- Knowledge and ability to care for patients based on the population served
- Knowledge of patient rights and laws relative to those rights, such as HIPAA
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania within 1 Year or NLC Compact State RN License - Interstate Commission of Nurse Licensure Compact Administrators
