Job Summary
Administer bedside patient care in the 30-bed Inpatient Rehab unit under preceptor supervision, assessing needs and developing individualized plans of care. Collaborate with physical, occupational, and speech therapy teams to prepare patients for discharge, while documenting assessments, medication administration, and treatments per regulatory standards. Prioritize patient care using Evidence-Based Practice Standards, delegate tasks to team members, and advocate for patients and families in a CARF-accredited environment. Schedule includes 3x12s nights (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) with every 3rd weekend off.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Authorized by the Alabama Board of Nursing (ABON) to practice as a graduate nurse
- Received a temporary license
- Authorized to take the NCLEX by the examination vendor
- Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Baptist Health and Orlando Health
- Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for the unit/department
- Must obtain temporary or permanent licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) multistate RN license
- Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
