Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care under direct supervision, excluding medication administration, IVs, and blood products. Monitor patient clinical status, document assessments and judgments, and respond to emergency situations including basic CPR. Provide patient teaching, transport charts and specimens, and maintain medical records using computer systems. Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care while adhering to infection control and safety standards. Maintain confidentiality and complete required training and education. Provide coverage for relief and absences as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of the course requirements for graduation from an Associate's Degree, Diploma or Bachelor of Science program in nursing
- Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the neonate, infant, toddler, pre-schooler, school-age, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patient population
- National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX)
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- Experience in patient care as obtained through completion of an approved nursing program
