Job Summary
Rotational program for newly graduated nurses (Spring 2026 graduates) at Barnes-Jewish Hospital offering hands-on clinical experience across multiple specialty medical-surgical units over the first year, with three four-month rotations, 1:1 preceptor pairing, and a graduate nurse onboarding pathway. Participants will provide direct patient care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to develop and modify care plans, while rotating through units and exploring specialties (note: rotations do not include Women and Infants, ICU, OR, or ED). The role emphasizes patient safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and professional development, and leads toward a longer-term placement within the organization based on performance and interests. Preferred requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Spring 2026 completion date
- Eligible for Graduate Nurse status with plans to obtain RN licensure per Missouri requirements
- Willingness to rotate units every four months during the first year of employment
- Strong interest in exploring multiple specialty medical-surgical areas
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
