Graduate Nurse CTSICU, Allegheny General

Graduate Nurse CTSICU responsible for a designated patient population in a post-surgical ICU, delivering care based on the nursing process. Demonstrates clinical assessment and care planning, collaborates with the multidisciplinary team from admission through discharge, and educates patients and families considering age and cultural factors. Works in a 24-bed CTSICU that treats cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and transplant patients; nurses scrub and circulate on the floor and care for patients with mechanical circulatory devices (VAD, ECMO, Impella, balloon pump).
