Job Summary

Manage network build initiatives by coordinating vendor schedules, resolving technical challenges, and driving project milestones from site survey to end-of-job audit. Execute engineering tasks including equipment configurations, BOM creation, and generating Shopping Carts or Telephone Equipment Orders. Maintain project supplements for budget management and facilitate communication with the Project Manager, functional teams, and third-party vendors to ensure timely completion. This hybrid role supports Verizon's modernization of core ultra long haul networks, requiring a bachelor's degree and right to work in Ireland. Candidates will work alongside experienced professionals to learn the network engineering lifecycle while adopting AI tools for technical research and documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent)
  • valid right to work in Ireland
  • The ability to work well with others (as a team) and individually (on your own projects) with a positive attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrable excellent problem-solving skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of technical domains such as: SONET, DWDM, Long Haul Transport Systems, Backbone Routing/Switching, Physical Server Deployments, or Voice Switching platforms
  • Familiarity with telecommunications equipment or network installations
  • Proficiency in utilising AI tools to streamline technical research, documentation, and problem-solving
