Job Summary
Graduate LPN provides direct patient care for all ages, performing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborates with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort, works within nursing practice guidelines and Mercy System standards, and participates in education for patients on procedures, expectations, and medications at discharge. Unit: Medical A floor on Mercy Jefferson (fast-paced 30-bed unit), nights with a sign-on bonus for graduates and experienced LPNs. This role involves teamwork, flexibility, and growth in clinical knowledge on a mission-driven healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited school
- Current LPN license in our state or can be obtained within 90 days
- Basic Life Support certification (AHA)
- IV Certification within 1 year
