Job Summary
Limited-term, paid internship in health care administration across acute care hospitals, medical groups, and ambulatory care within Sutter Health/PAMF. Responsibilities include supporting day-to-day operating objectives, participating in projects and programs, planning and implementing initiatives, and conducting research with recommendations. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field or enrollment in/recent graduation from an MBA or other Master's program; 1 year of relevant experience; strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills; plus computer proficiency and organizational abilities. Schedule: full-time, days, 40 hours/week; location: Palo Alto, CA. Benefits available; Non-Exempt; Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in a directly related field OR enrolled in or recent graduate of an MBA or other Master's level program
- 1 year recent relevant experience
- Knowledge of healthcare industry issues and applicable legal/ accreditation requirements
- Strong communication (written, verbal, presentation), problem solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software
- Strong organization and prioritization abilities
- Capacity to work on projects and initiatives with independent judgment
