Job Summary
Premier Foods’ Manufacturing Operations and Supply Chain HR Graduate Scheme 2026 is a permanent, full-time site-based program across UK sites (Carlton bakery in Barnsley or Ashford grocery site in Kent). The scheme delivers hands-on HR generalist activity within a fast-paced FMCG environment, including employee relations, coaching managers, delivering people plans, engaging training sessions for people leaders, and participation in change and improvement projects. Participants will undergo corporate induction, followed by two 9-month placements, gaining exposure to HR business partnering, compliance, data insights, stakeholder management, and collaboration with employee representatives and unions. Requirements include an HR degree or Masters (or CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent), permanent UK work rights with UK mobility, strong communication and IT skills, and a willingness to travel and relocate within the UK. Starting salary £30,000 per annum with a comprehensive benefits package and relocation support loan.
Required Qualifications
- An HR degree or Masters or working towards or have achieved a CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent)
- The permanent right to work in the UK (with no visa restrictions)
- Geographical mobility in the UK
- Be confident working in a data-driven environment
- Be a strong communicator, able to influence and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Be highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Demonstrate confidence, resilience and the ability to motivate others
- Have strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
