Job Summary
Monitor and supervise fieldwork including ground investigations, landfill engineering, and earthworks. Collect soil samples for geotechnical testing and carry out in-situ geotechnical testing. Log geotechnical data and schedule laboratory testing. Prepare factual reports, health and safety plans, and risk assessments. Work closely with senior colleagues on site supervision and laboratory testing across diverse geoscience disciplines. This role offers UK and overseas opportunities with a full driving licence required due to site travel. Required Qualifications
- Full driving licence valid in the UK
- Civil Engineering, Geology, Geological Hazards, Geotechnical Engineering, or relevant MSc
- Understand UK ground investigation techniques, specifications, and standards
- Graduate level membership of a relevant body (or eligibility)
- Comfortable supervising and instructing others to carry out fieldwork tasks efficiently and safely
Desired Qualifications
- Aspiring to become a chartered geologist (CGeol) or chartered civil engineer (CEng)
- Demonstrable experience in Earth Sciences or Geotechnical Engineering
