Job Summary
Junior R&D Mechanical Design Engineer supporting regional ETO projects for chiller units, collaborating with suppliers, procurement and industrial engineering to design mechanical aspects (sheet metal and piping), create and review CAD drawings and BOMs, and optimize cost, quality, environment and timing while solving technical problems and improving mechanical drawings based on production, procurement and logistics feedback.
Required Qualifications
- Technical Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- 1 year of experience in similar activities ideally in Chiller or CRAC and HVAC sectors
- Good knowledge of light structural work processing
- Knowledge of refrigeration principles would be nice
- Knowledge of thermodynamics aspects would be nice but not essential
- Good knowledge of 3D/2D CAD & PLM systems, Microsoft Office tools, particularly PTC Creo and Solid Edge
- Knowledge of technical drawings
- English – Intermediate level – written and spoken
