Job Summary
Develop grid modernization solutions by designing technical plans, performing load flow studies, and managing DER interconnection applications. Execute project scoping, estimating, and scheduling while reviewing drawings and calculations under supervision. Provide consultation on system implementation and coordinate with clients and external agencies to meet project needs. Utilize advanced theory and distribution load flow software to complete complex project features. Complete assigned tasks and actively manage individual workload while maintaining effective communication with staff and management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
- Must be analytical, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work in high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Excellent presentation and verbal/written communications skills
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, clients and external agencies
- Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
- Must have authorization to work legally in Costa Rica for any employer
Desired Qualifications
- EIT certification
- Previous experience working with or for a Utility
- Experience with a Distribution Load Flow software such as DNV GL Synergi Electric, Milsoft Windmil, or CYME Dist
- Experience with Distributed Energy Resource (DER) interconnections, such as Battery Energy Storage Systems or photovoltaic system
